Granny is Ammon’s paternal grandmother. She is a wonderful woman that I have had the pleasure of getting to know and love over the past 7 years. She lives in Winston Salem and now that Ammon is working close to her, we get to visit a lot more often. The boys love to go up to her room, chat with her, eat a piece out of her candy dish and sometimes her leftover grapes if she has any. They sit on her electric scooter and wait for her coo-coo clock to go off. She’s always so interested in our lives and watches the boys with a twinkle in her eye. Thankfully, she still has a clear mind and it is easy to communicate with her. On Friday, December 16th 2011 Granny turned 90! The whole family came to celebrate!
When we started to sing, she started conducting us.
Clapping for our beautiful rendition of “Happy Birthday”.
Blowing out the candles.
We bought her some new shirts that hopefully she will enjoy.
I wish all our grandparents lived close enough that we could visit regularly. I miss them all so much!
