I am so upset! Noah has been needing a haircut for awhile now. I always cut his hair. I cut it short in the back and fade it up the sides and leave it a little longer on top. It's cute. A typical boy haircut. Tonight, Ammon brought up the fact that he needed a haircut and I told him he could do it. I honestly envisioned Noah emerging from the bathroom with the haircut that I always give him. So they went upstairs and I heard the clippers turn on. Probably 30 seconds later I realize that maybe Ammon is cutting it shorter than I do so I yell up the stairs, "How short?". Ammon replied, "Really short." I dashed up the stairs and as soon as I caught a glimpse of my baby's head, I got mad. Ammon totally buzzed it. He didn't even put an attachment on the clippers. Straight up buzzed it. Oooo I was so upset. He made my baby bald! He has absolutely NO HAIR! Ammon kinda chuckled and thought it was great. When he realized that I was genuinely upset, he apologized... I'm still mad. I mean really, when you know how it's usually done, why would you be so drastic without running it by me? And did he start in the back so I could attempt to fade it? Of course not. He started right on top. There was no hope. Looks like I'm the only one left with hair in this household.
There were tears...
None from him. From me.

I LOVE IT, He looks just like his uncle in Ohio.
oh my gosh! you poor thing! I did something like to ethan by mistake when he was like 2 months old---i thought it would be easy to cut his hair and I got the buzzer turned it on and started on the top when i realized I forgot the attacher....then i was crying so hard i couldn't finish. i cried so hard. but the good news is that it grew soooooo fast!
Nooooooooooo! I would be crying, too. It will grow fast, though. But maybe you should always do the haircuts from now on. :(
Oh I would be sooo mad! He still looks cute but I would be so upset. YOu are totally justified.
Some day you will laugh at this. Better sooner than later.
I'm with ya on getting mad. But when you have a kid that cute, hair or no hair he looks perfect!~mandy
Oh Jess! I feel your pain! I think that little boys need some hair and a buzz doesn't leave enough behind. I'm sorry. It will grow back fast!
Jess,
My brother-in-law gave my firstborn a buzz cut (the first time any of my boys got one.) That was almost 20 years ago, and I can still remember the shock I felt. But it is like the old saying goes, "There's no use crying over spilled milk." I guess we could also say "There's no use crying over buzzed hair." Noah still has his sparkly eyes and his beautiful smile! And I was surprised that all 5 of my boys have requested buzz cuts over the years.
Thanks for all your kind words. He's still my baby boy and I'm feeling better about it this morning. It's nice to know so many of you have my back on this. :)
Well, the good news is it will grow back and the other good news is that he is still stinking cute!
That's better than when I was a kid and Ammon was getting his usual buzz cut. I wanted to be Ammon so I begged my Dad for one. He was totally getting ready to do it when my Mom caught on and stopped him. But can you believe my Dad was going to buzz my hair?! And I was older than Noah is...geez. What is it with the men in this family and buzz cuts?!
In the words of Noah..."Oh snap!"
Oh Jessie....
I can imagine your shock!!!
I am sorry....I know you love Noah with his little boy cut.
I guess you are the haircutter from now on. :)
I love you!!!
Wow! It's totally gone! Watch out for sunburns with that bald head! I'm sure I would have reacted the same way...he's still a total cutie pie..with or without hair!
First, Noah is still adorable.
Second, I would've cried too.
Third, now that I have a baby boy, if my husband does that to me, I think I might kill him. I should warn him now. :)
Fourth, take a pic and post it of all your "bald" boys! :) I bet they are adorable together.
Fifth, did I tell you that Noah is still cute?
