We made a trip to Wal-Mart today… Does anyone else hate that place as much as I do? It’s too big. It has too many options. And I always end up spending so much money there. Ugh. Anyway, before we left home I asked the boys to come up with things they’d like to put on the list. Noah wanted Fudge Rounds (I can’t stand those things, but all 3 of my boys love them). Griffin wanted a watermelon. When we got to the produce department, we found that the watermelons were almost $6 each! I really did not want to pay that much for a watermelon. Really really. I did not put one in my cart and we kept walking. Griffin was so sad and then almost instantly, he found a section that had small watermelons on sale for $1.50. Score! I’m so glad I was able to make his day happy.

dem bones…
We have a skeleton puzzle that the boys LOVE putting together. Yesterday, they dragged it out again to play with. First, Noah put it together on the floor and then he decided to put it together again… on himself! Doesn’t he look happy?!

Grateful for digital photography!
I can’t imagine life without my digital camera. I can snap as many pictures as I’d like and see what the picture looks like immediately. I took so many pictures of the boys after church today in an attempt to get a good one of them in their new Easter suits. While others may think that these are mostly outtakes, I just can’t help but love them all. Noah and Griffin have so much personality and I would much rather document that than have a perfectly posed picture.
We started out on the steps and Noah tried to tickle Griffin to help him cooperate and smile. Griffin fought it the whole time so we moved them in from of the azaleas.
Aww… Look at my guys.
I had an awesome, lovely assistant. Ammon stood behind me and had the boys do certain things to hold their attention. Arms out!
Arms down!
Strike a pose!
Vogue.

I’m grateful for Easter. I’m grateful for Christ and His atonement. I’m grateful that my children have a testimony of Him and are eager to learn more and grow their testimonies. I’m grateful for the beautiful Sunday services we enjoyed at church and I’m grateful that we can worship as we please.
Happy Easter!

Easter baskets!
We decided to give the boys their Easter baskets on Saturday this year. Last night, I put together a little scavenger hunt that led to their baskets. This is the first year that we’ve done that and they loved it! Before we started, my guys snuggled up in our bed for a few minutes. They’re so cute!
The scavenger hunt led them all over the house and finally to their baskets which were hid behind the curtains in the living room.
Griffin struggled to open the plastic eggs at first. He hit them on his knee until Ammon showed him a much easier way to do it.
Griffin got a small King James Version of the New Testament. A couple weeks ago, we went to rent a movie at Redbox and sitting on top of the credit card swiper was one of these small New Testaments. Noah asked if he could have it and I said sure. Griffin wanted one desperately and I was thrilled when I saw the exact same ones at the Dollar Tree. He loves his “Bivle”. :)
Bubble gum flavored chapstick. I think this was his favorite thing out of his whole basket. He took it to bed with him tonight.
Both boys got these super cool crazy straws. Pictures of them in use are at the bottom of this post.
Noah got a travel chess set. He was so excited about it!
He also got quite a few magic tricks. He’s really into magic right now.
It’s safe to say that their baskets were a major success this year… whew!
