Yesterday we got to Noah's Kindermusik class only to find that it had been canceled. I knew Shanna had been trying to call me but our phone was all messed up. Needless to say, I didn't get the message. I knew Noah would be crushed if we went straight back home so I asked him if he wanted to go to the library. "Library! Yes!" So we went into our local library for the first time in his life. The lady at the front desk gave me a schedule of all the events and then we headed over to the kiddie section. They had a few small tables and chairs, a really fun area rug with bugs and numbers and a bucket full of toys. Noah loved picking out some books and playing with the toys. They have story time once a week so I think we'll hit that up when we can. They are also celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd. Every half hour they will have someone read one of his books and then that evening, they are having a party with cake and an appearance of the Cat in the Hat. Noah will love it. He's really into Dr. Seuss books right now. It's nice to get out of the house for awhile and it's becoming easier to be out with both boys. Next time though, I'll be sure to bring a bag in with me. Carrying a baby, books, papers and holding a 2-year old's hand is quite the task. (I'll also remember to put the books in the car and not leave them on the roof as I drive away. Thank goodness they were still there when I realized what I had done at the stoplight.)

How fun! Peyton and I haven't been to the library for a while. Maybe we will go to the Dr. Suess celebration as well. That sounds like fun. I have been meaning to check into the story time that they had. I wasn't sure if Peyton was old enough or not.
Good thing you didn't loose your books. Can you imagine having to explain to Noah why his books that he so carefully picked out were lost? Plus having to pay for them?
So many fun memories with you guys when you were little going to the library!!!
Remember when we listened to the scary stories outside in Dublin??
I am so glad you went. I always had several little hands to hold, too, along with a stroller usually. Fun times. I wish I were back there again.
I know you are enjoying these precious moments.
(oh...and I've done the books on top of the car, too! I did that one in Beavercreek!!!)
You are so lucky to have so many options at your disposal! Just reading what you guys get to do makes me so jealous. Kindermusik, a good kids library, gymnastics...Happy for you guys, sad for us. :( Maybe BV will develop in th next little while...
