Walking it off
My good friend, Shanna, had William 2 weeks before Griffin was born. Her other son, Joseph was born 2 weeks before Noah. Crazy, huh? Anyway, we're trying to walk off our baby weight. She comes over to my house most days and we load up the 4 boys and take off. Here are the babies snuggled up for today's walk. William's giving you a little wave. :)
(Ammon found this double stroller on Craigslist for me... Thanks babe!)

Noah Turns 2!
Noah LOVES trains. This is our attempt at a train cake. The bags in the background are goodie bags for the kids.
The menu:
Pigs in a blanket
Watermelon and Cantaloupe
Lemon Water Punch
Chips and Dip
Train Cake!
This was while we were singing "Happy Birthday" to him. Cute!
Blowing out the candles with a little help from Peyton. (sidenote: Noah has learned how to light matches! Seriously, I was downstairs and I noticed that Noah had walked into the room but didn't really pay any attention to him. Next thing I know, I see a flame! Not cool man.)
Aunt Joni and Uncle Kevin got Noah this awesome bubble machine! (also a WAY cool truck)
A fish backpack from Mom and Dad.
He was super excited about all his gifts. Here he is opening a truck from Peyton.
Gigi and Pap got him a remote control car!
Trying to be patient while Dad gets it out of the box.
Nana made Noah this blanket which he LOVES. He carries it around the house and then spreads it out to play on it.
They also got him this really cool train set. Choo Choo!
Griffin thoroughly enjoyed the party.
Little Peyton adores babies. It is so cute to watch him want to hold and touch Griffin.
We had a great time celebrating our little man. He is such a joy to our family. I am so grateful to be his Mama. I love you forever, Noah!

How I Feel
A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard.
The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall.
In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.
In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.
He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went.
He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?" "Yes," was his incredulous reply. She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."
Priceless.

Griffin's Blessing
My baby boy turns 2 tomorrow!! I cannot believe how fast time goes by. Noah loves trains so Gigi and Pap came by today to help us make a train cake. Ammon helped make the engine and frost it.
Gigi and Pap with the Griffin Man.
Looking fat.
Wide awake.
Chilling with Daddy.
A smile! (just a gas smile though. we haven't seen a real smile from him yet)

How does your brain feel?
by Ammon Piatt
Here are some things running around in my head at the moment. Is the force of gravity the same everywhere on the earth?
The earth isn’t perfectly round so does that mean that gravity isn’t always pulling straight down? Would this then mean that some places on earth where gravity isn’t pulling straight down you could jump higher?
How about the distance you are from the center of the earth? If gravity is weaker as you move further away from the earth does that mean you can jump higher at higher elevations?
What about the fact that the planet is spinning. Centrifugal force would be greater around the middle of the pivotal plane verses the axis in which it is spinning. Does this mean that you can jump higher at the equator then you can the North Pole because you have centrifugal force working with you?
Now how does your brain feel?

Life these days
I went into Noah's room with a camera. I found this.
He would put the block bucket on his head, say a bunch of jibberish and then lift it off and crack up!
Hooray for self-entertainment!
